What is with me and facial oils? I sooooo didn’t appreciate a good facial oil until I started copywriting on the Australian brand Jurlique back in 2008. Jurlique had just launched their Skin Balancing Face Oil and I thought “isn’t that gonna just break me out? Facial Oils are for old ladies!” So I tried it. And it didn’t break me out. And I’m not an old lady — even now.
But it took me many, many years to understand that moisture in the form of oils — especially non-fragrant plant oils — is essential to skin health.
Then came Josie Maran’s original 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil. That felt just as pampering and pro-skin health as it gets. And that’s how my love affair with facial oils began to blossom. I think of Josie’s Skin Dope Argan Oil + 100 mg CBD as her original Pure Argan Oil on steroids.
And just as that original, which literally has a single ingredient (pure Argan Oil!), the upgrade has a rather tight ingredient list. The Argan Oil + 100 mg CBD is comprised of just 2 ingredients — Argan Kernel Oil and CBD-rich Hemp Extract.
It’s a richer oil, though not quite as rich as Herbivore’s Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil. It’s a rather wet oil with a deliciously spicy, savory aroma that actually makes my mouth water. Yes, I said that! The Josie Maran Argan Oil + 100 mg CBD facial oil is mouth-watering!
It’s a smart blend of two superb oils for the skin. Because it’s not a lightweight facial oil, I wouldn’t want to experiment with it on acne prone skin, even though CBD can work wonders on overactive, oily skin. For everyone else, it’s a wonderful option.
