PRODUCT REVIEW: YON-KA GOMMAGE YON-KA – THE BEST PEELING GEL FOR THE ULTIMATE SPA TREATMENT

If you caught my #selfcaresunday video on my IGTV last weekend, you know I treated myself royally with the ultimate at-home spa treatments from Parisian spa brand Yon-ka. (Pssst…you can still catch it here!)
Their extensive range of pampering treatments are based in the science of phytotherapy, the harnessing of plant essences to preserve and repair skin functions.
The brand’s iconic Gommage Yon-Ka is one of the best peeling gels that I’ve ever experienced — and my fave peeling gel ever. It’s one part gentle peel, one part mind-soothing nirvana.
Composed of 94% ingredients of natural origin, the soft, non-irritating Gommage Yon-Ka exfoliant is not only supremely gentle on the skin, but calms the mind as well. I had the worst migraine last Sunday and this is exactly what I needed — TLC for mind, body and soul.
As is common with gel peels, Gommage Yon-Ka dries down – at which point you massage your skin and watch as it beads up, rolling away all the gunk and build-up.
It features Yon-ka’s proprietary Quintessence, the brand’s exclusive active aromatherapeutic complex at the heart of the Yon-Ka collection of products. Quintessence comprises “five fundamental essential oils in concentrations that have been precisely measured to provide the most perfect synergy…together they work in an ‘entourage effect’ to treat, heal, and restore the skin.”
It’s that something that you can’t quite put your finger on when you’re immersed in a Yon-ka treatment. It gives me some sort of head rush that lightens my mood every time.
