I started the day with my new fave Biotoc Nanopen Pro micro-needling device and ended it with this bomb ass algae mask from The Clean Beauty Co!
Seriously the stuff is lit!
The Clinical Beauty Algae Mask feels like life on your face. It’s one of the best moisture masks for dry skin that I’ve tried.
I ended up leaving the mask on for over an hour and even then had to force myself to take it off. The instructions say to remove with a warm cloth after 30-40 minutes. It’s that soothing, cooling and nourishing. Can I do it every day?? Yes, I can; but I haven’t. I did it Tuesday and again on Thursday, though. So thrice weekly it is.
The Clinical Beauty Algae Mask contains 1% spirulina algae and a whole lot more that skin loves. It’s got 50% bio-fermented aloe in place of useless water. Water has nearly zero benefit for the skin beyond a temporary humectant effect. Other than that it’s like cantaloupe in a fruit salad. All filler!

The Clinical Beauty’s Algae Mask contains a 30% concentration of replenishing, moisturizing non-fragrant plant oils and a complex of skin-balancing probiotics. Plant-based phospholipids derived from lecithin help to strengthen the skin.
Interestingly, it’s also what the brand calls a “cleanZero” formula — free of microplastic, polymers, additives and allergens.
But the texture! I’m not sure how to describe the texture exactly. Rich, silky and deliciously smooth on skin? Wait. It feels like mayonnaise! Yeah, I know that sounds nuts (and gross!) but it’s so hard to describe this texture. It feels so oily and creamy but it’s not actually heavy at all. I guess you’ll have to try it for yourself and tell me what you think!
