If you didn’t catch my IGTV for #selfcaresunday be sure to catch it on my IG page and see me put this surprisingly potent AHA clay mask into action.

You probably know I’m not a big fan of Glycolic Acid. My skin just doesn’t handle it well. So, I thought I’d give First Aid Beauty’s Lactic Acid-powered Facial Radiance AHA Intensive Peel a try.

Funny, the directions say that, “For first use, leave on 45 seconds to one minute.” I kind of laughed that off during the video filming session. But it turned out to be as potent as FAB makes it sound. I left it on for maybe 3 minutes in all and that was probably a bit too long for me. It sure did the trick, but my face was read all the way to CT for lunch with my mother!

So what’s in it?

Well, first, it’s a clay mask and both Kaolin and Bentonite are right up there at the top of the INCI. At ingredient no. 7 is Lactic Acid, putting it what I estimate to be about a 4-5% concentration.

If you’re used to a 10% AHA treatment, this one may fall short of your expectations. But it performed perfectly well for me!

There are a few soothing botanicals as well, including Green Tea Leaf Extract and Feverfew Extract. There’s also classic skin brightening Licorice Root Extract in case your complexion isn’t already lit up like a campfire in the dark of night.

FAB’s Facial Radiance AHA Intensive Peel is clean, vegan, cruelty-free and potent enough for me — all a guy (or gal!) needs to kick off #selfcaresunday just right!
